Bansko now serbia

Me and my girlfriend went to Bansko jan 2004,we booked to stay in the Hotel Karol but after staying one night we decided to upgrade to the Hotel Strazetea"i think thats how you spell it" because the Karol was a bit rough to say the least and a little bit of a trek to catch the bus as the bus could'nt get to it.The Strazetea is fantastic brand new when we were there...top indoor pool, sauna facilitie

s and bowling ally ect.The town itself is has so much caricture a very "oldy worldy" place and atmosphere....its a shame that some of its charm maybe lost with all the new development...progress for you.As an intermediate i found the skiing ok but my girlfrind could have had a better tme as a beginner...she was a bit limitied.Equipment very good all new.We would go back one day but i like to try pastures new...so jan 2006 were goiing to Kopaonik Serbia...i think it will be safe going off piste as NATO have officailly declared it safe, having cleared all thier unexploded cluster bombs up.I cant find a message board like this one so if anyone has any info i would be gratefull....i did find this site.... a very good photo gallery of last year...www.book.co.yu/images/20050201/ thanks all and please reply if you have an quiries about anything take care and have a great season ! Hi,
we went there about 7 years ago, the sking was fabulous and the resort very compact and cheap very similar to Bulgaria./
The food was a little poor and not varied but they had a 24 hr bakery which produced allsorts of goodies, it is avery nice place.
look out for the secret policeman who will get on the tranfer coach and who you will see at various times during your stay and then back at the coach. Pristina airport is a bit of a dump so take some drinks and chocolate with you in case ...

we had a great time, the ski doos were cheap and it is the only place i have ever been paid for getting 22 at black jack in a casino.
it will no doubt have changed since we went but the sking was good
