Bansko opening..

As my last post was deleted i will reiterate... and update...
The official start to the winter season will be the 12th December, work starting in preparation on the 1st of December...
This has come from the mayor at a meeting of the tourist council.
Now, if there is anyone at Ulen/Balkan/First Investment who knows differant could you please tell us
Why is it always such a bloody secret like the coming seasons lift pass prices, any expansion, new lifts etc !!!!

I have worked in ski resorts in other parts of Europe for many years, there they advertised the facts, their plans etc well in advance (years re. lifts and pistes) and in this reinforced confidence in the resort... something that is sadly lacking in Bansko

Balkan's season starts on the 19th December! Just check their website and don't get stressed!re: Bansko opening..
possibly down to their past Steve, use to keeping secrets and it takes a long time to change cultures.re: Bansko opening..

Why worry? its always round about 15th/17th anyhow.Why stress over a week here or there? Its a long season.
