Bansko or Borovetes?

It was our first skiing holiday last year and we went to Boro.
what a fantastic holiday, the best Ive ever had, so good were going again!
Went the second week in March last year but going to go a little earlier, the snow was in great condition at that time but I can wait that long to go again.
My farther-in-law (to be) is off to Bansko and Ive heard good things about this newish resort but thinking we may go back to borovets?
What do you more experinced guys think?

I've been to both though admittedly Borovettes some years ago. The skiing is good in both but I prefer Bansko as the resort facilities are newer ( flushing toilets up the mountain!!!) Also last time I went the resort was quieter but with all the publicity on Bansko I don't think there will be much in it now. Bansko has the charm of being a little town not just a ski resort, too. My in-laws stayed at Kempinski Grand last year - it was complete decadence and they're going there again this year ...

If you want skiing at your door then Boro it is.If the rila is booked out the week you require there are plenty of other choices.Fiona
