Bansko or Borovets?

If I plan for a skiing holiday between the 11th and 15th December, where will it be worthier to go in terms of Snow cover, availability and reliability of ski lifts, and other basic services? Bansko or Borovets?

Cheers Booze

Bit early for both Nathan. They normally open around the 15th snow permitting. Can you not go later?

re: Bansko or Borovets?

they did open earlier last year because of unusualy early snow, the 8th of dec was borovets first day and it was awsome
signs are suggesting an early winter this year too, but these things are never sure

Thats the problem Daniel, as I cannot make it later Sad
The latest I can go is during those dates.

I am more worried about the availability of service before the opening season, as for snow everybody is predicting a good early weather Very Happy

re: Bansko or Borovets?

everybody predicts good early weather - its called eternal optimism. Beyond ten days out, its more or less guesswork.

Nathan.

Better off spending a bit more and head for Canada I know you will say that costs too much, but your really chancing it going that early. Hope I'm wrong and you have a wonderful time, BUT and it's a big But.

I've had some great times in Borovets but that's around the 3rd week in Jan, hence I will be heading back jan17th.
