If you are buying make sure you get your own independant lawyer. We paid a deposit last year for an apartment in Pamporovo, and managed to find a lawyer in London that dealt with Bulgarian law. We were constantly hassled for money by the Bulgarian building Company. but we would'nt pay until our Lawyer said all the documentation was correct, but the Company was reluctant to let our lawyer see these documents and also they had no bank guarantees behind them. As for your first question, Bansko or Pamps, I really don't know, just got back from Pamps on Sunday and the building work is phenominal, I don't know how they are going to manage to get them sold, or what the re-saleable value would be,

I have now decided to buy an apartment in Bansko. The name is Summit Lodge and the Dublin company; Platinum Development will start the construction work this month and it will be finished autumn 2008. The location is close to the main gondola station. My main reasons to choose Bansko was that I appreciated the ski tracks to be better.
