Bansko release ski pass prices

Finally they are up on the site!!!!

Not good news though Sad Sad They have raised all of them. A 6day pass is now 18euro more than last year. Disgraceful!!

I noticed that earlier too! After the press release in the Sofia news saying the the passes will stay the same price too! Saw the 1d pass was up to 55 - which is a 10% increase. What a cheek!! Surprised

hmmm - another article from the Sofia Echo which says the prices will be 55lev/day for the busy spell 27/12-14/1, the 50lev thereafter....

The banskoski.com website are the correct prices. This is Ulen's website. Passes we are able to get have increased 15% but are still just under price from Gondola. They did tell us at the weekend we would no longer be able to get lift passes with out any ski hire or tuition but we have been told we now can but they have increased price by over 20euro.......

Ouch. so that is what we're stuck with... I think it still represents good value and given the things they have done / are doing (new lifts; busses etc) it's not a massive surprise that the prices have increased - just a shame though that they squeeze the local businesses just because they can...

Pamporovo have kept the lift pass price the same but are now charging for the buses around the resort - to and from the ski centres. Personally I think it would have been better to have raised the pass slightly and kept the buses free. Its a pain to have to find little bits of money at the start and end of the day particularly if you have kids with you too and you're already juggling numerous helmets, gloves etc.

I know some of the hotels are talking about providing their own transfer service to the slopes. Also there is talk of being able to purchase a bus pass for the week which would at least mean that you don't need to find change - but means having 2 passes. Crazy!
