Hi,
I'd like to know if its going to be cheaper taking GBP and converting over there by knowing the ski pass and ski, boots, poles price for 6 days in levs (at the gondola shop)?
The website is quoting 199euros for prebooked 6 day package (no tuition) and the rate i'm getting online is 2.24:1. If you want to break it down to local hire and separate lift pass then that's fine too.
Also, rates in bansko at the bank GBP>Lev? is there a charge?

The exchange here in banks can be as much as 10% better than that attained in the UK. There is a small charge for exchange but the better rate still allows for a better overall rate. The only limitation is the bank opening time, it is possible to get a bank on Saturday Morning (Alpha Bank nr the square) but after 16.30 and Sundays/bank holidays will be a problem. At quoted gondola prices, the lift pass for 6 days is 340lv, and 6 day equipment hire is 150lv, totally 490lv, the quote of 199E ...

Thanks. Last time I checked the gondola shop did a package deal as opposed to you adding them so could do with that price really as its its more like 60lev saving at current FX I think.
Could info though about the bank so may be worth pre booking given time
We arrive.
Thanks
Note that generally the exchange booths close to the gondola tend to give a poor rate. My recollection from summer and winter is there is a booth close to the main church on Pirin street on RH side that had a fair rate too-certainly better than close to the Gondola.
Does anyone know what the 6 day pass and gear package costs from the gondola shop in lev please? Also, what's the going lev to gbp rate after commission in resort? Should I brig Gbp cash to avoid any further transaction charges?
