Hi,

The FIS womens World Cup is in Bansko from 26th Feb to the 1st March. The first three days are downhill and the last day is the Super G.

Full details are on www.fis-ski.com

But, and its difficult not to think negatively, it will mean a closure to the resorts premier run for a couple of weeks of preparation. This is really unfair on people on holiday at that time, especially as it will coincide with half term.

But its only one run out of 70km worth, theres plenty more to ski and the two blacks at the halfway station, though short in comparison, are as much fun, in fact me and my friend found them to be better than the tomba itself.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

re: Bansko slopes??

Nope, nothing closed for the dates you have suggested..
Re. Challin Valog black, far better to Tomba, especially if you keep to the steeper right side Very Happy
Just had a look today at the black section at Dobriniste on their 7km piste, makes tomba look like a nursury slope, in fact it looks steeper than Challin Valog, all for 20lv for a days pass... Will be skiing it Thursday hopefully if we get some new snow Wink
