Bansko temperature ?

I hear it was minus 20 in Bansko last week, is that a lowest point or is regularly that low ? Is the temp much different to Boro where we went last Feb ?

No it was Pamps that was that cold, my mistake but anyone know what Bankso's like, they can't be that far apart I suppose.

My wife and me went to Bansko in March 2004, and found the temperatures to be fine. Had much colder conditions in Pamporovo last January.

Although in Bansko we saw far greater snow falls... the snow just came and came non-stop and heavy for 48 hours.

It was minus 20 twenty in Bansko last week, I was there. However as there was no wind it actually didn't feel as bad as it sounds. Last year mid-March it was upto plus 17 on the slopes, which meant the pistes softhened and were only any good in the morning. The week after we came back they were back below freezing. For my money the best temp on the slopes is about minus 5, the pistes will be in perfect condition and with your gear on it feels great as well.

Don't worry, Mike! Last week was the coldest week in Bulgaria this winter. Now it's different and you can check it on the web - site. Temps in this range ( - 20 ) are exception...believe me
