All the cannons running, pain when you ski past because it makes you blind (could be best for me) but overall very enjoyable

re: Bansko update

Hi all..
Just returned from Boro, heavy snow and the resort is fully open. Pulling up the valley towards Bansko it could be a spring day, sunny, crisp.... but unfortunately not the dump of snow that hit Boro. A sprinkling on top but not much more. The forecast is for light snow, plunging tempertures (-34 with wind chill) so brace yourself. The resort is still quiet, as was Boro really for the first day of the season. Dunno if the doomungers have finally got through, Boro was good yesterday, ...

Dunno if the doomungers have finally got through, Boro was good yesterday, as good as i have ever seen it, and the people i spoke to were really enjoying it. We do need some more snow here in Bansko (even though it makes my work harder, all heart me Very Happy) and it will come. Ulen (bless em) are working really hard on the mountain, i feel one decent fall of snow and the whole resort will be open..... Happy Christmas all Booze

re: Bansko update

Now only three runs open in Bansko as they have a competition tomorrow. Snow machines going at full chat but it has its limits. More strong wind forecast for tomorrow but then getting better over xmas but still no sign of the big dump we really need. On the plus side its very cold so what is there is staying put. Absolute learners will be OK for the first few days but if you're anything above that level aim to get up early and enjoy what you can before the ski schools come and pack the ...

Tomba is not bad actually. Sounds like Borovets got the better of the weather so far.
