Ok this is an update from my friend Dave who is in Bansko for the next month at least.He arrived boxing day hopefully he will keep me posted over the next month on whats happening but drinking beer and skiing comes first.

Snow conditions ......... No new snow since 27th Dec
Runs open ..... Limited but the runs that are open have excelent snow cover .. n ...

Snow conditions ......... No new snow since 27th Dec
Runs open ..... Limited but the runs that are open have excelent snow cover .. n rocks or trees. I have never seen the ski road as good as it is now. Yeterday one of the new runs at Chalin Valog opening (the one that starts black and turns red) . Steve and I tested it and it was ...an experience. It was like skiing on frozen golf balls. We had to straight line the steep bit at the bottom as it was sheet ice.
I have tried a few bars since I arrived. Not too many but am working on it.... The New Crown is a lovely place to go and Amadeus were playing last night.I then went to the new Lions Pub which has been subjected to a major revamp it was a shock when I went in as they have moved the bar !!!
The Irish Pub (formerly Sir Galahads) was next on the list and we had a few there. They closed early at 1 though and all the fun ended. Not like the old days when we kept the owner perched on a stool till 4 or 5.
I popped in the Happy end for a wee the other day after skiing and it was surprisingly busy.
PLease all pray for snow the cannons are running nearly non stop and more runs will open soon I am sure.
