Bansko v Borovets ?

Has anybody been to both resorts, and if so how do they compare for:
Skiing area
Liftqueues
Hotels proximity to lifts
Prices for liftpass
Prices for eating/drinking
Nightlife
Frendliness of locals

You are joking - Just read the recent views on Bansko versus the others.
It is clearly the best resort in Bulgaria - overall.
Talk to anyone in Bulgaria they will laugh that you even try to compare Bansko with the others.

It is also the lead site for the olympic bid - pistes doubling to over 100Km, new lifts planned, massive investment. It is happening now.

The only problem is it may become too popular!!!

ski area - similiar at times to austria/swiss with tree lined runs in bansko
queues - practically non existant in bansko
hotels - very close in bansko
prices - reasonable as ither areas
eating/drinking - fantastic in bansko
nightlife - fine in bansko, depends on what your looking for
friendliness - extremely friendly and helpful!!

Been to Borovets many times,this year first time in Bansko and there is no comparisson Bansko with the recent and ongoing investment is head and shoulders above not only Borovets but many popular european resorts. Hope this helps !
