Bansko versus Pamporovo

I'm planning to go skiing to either Bansko or Pamporovo. Can't figure out which would be better for my family of one fairly advanced skier, one novice and 2 children who have just learned to ski this year, aged 4 and 7.
I want to stay at the decent hotel pref. with nice pool (HB) without risking food poisoning to the children.
Also I'd love to use kindergarden for the children, how good and safe is it? Do you have to commit to the period of 6 days, as that seems a bit risky in case we are ...

Also I'd love to use kindergarden for the children, how good and safe is it? Do you have to commit to the period of 6 days, as that seems a bit risky in case we are not happy with it or want to see a bit more of our kids during the holiday.
Please help, any info and personal experience on kindergarden, ski schools, good hotels would be greatly appreciated. Also any tips concerning ski hire or when to hit the slopes would be great.
Many thanks.

re: Bansko versus Pamporovo

For varying abilities as you have, I reckon Bansko would be a lot better. Pamporovo is much lower so not much on offer for advanced skiiers. Bansko has slopes for all levels. I have stayed in an apartment in Bansko and eaten out, and honestly I think you're far more likely to get food poisioning in the UK than there, providing you stick to reputable places. A can recommend a few it of helps, anything from traditional to English food. My family had no problems. Mont Blanc apartments are very ...

Mont Blanc apartments are very well located and they have a deal with the nearby English pub which does excellent food, so you only have to walk round the corner for your meals if you wish. Have a look at www.banskoapartments.com.

re: Bansko versus Pamporovo

I've been twice to Pamps and this year went to Bansko!!

No contest, Bansko is the best bet, its a proper village where pamps is a customised ski resort and only has about 26klms of ski runs. Bansko has about 65 klms.

Pamps is good for learning but itermediates and advanced again bansko is the best bet.
We stayed at the 5* kempinski grand arena!!
You won't get a better hotel in bulgaria for skiing, trully 5*

We went b/b because there are plenty of restaurants in the village. The best one we frequented was a steak restaurant that had a vast menue including fish dishes and with very good live music including the doorman that sang a medly of Elvis songs.

The food was supurb and whats more piping hot!!

We have already booked for this next year via Balkan Holidays.

Hope this helps you.
