I am just back from a skiing break in Bansko anmd would make the following comments. They badly need another access point up to the mountain the queueing sitiuation is ridiculous. People do not queue and there is pushing in going on al over the place. As you could not ski all the way down the situation was the same from 3pm onwards coming back down. It would be simple to improve matters and get the lift operators to impose a little bit of order. This is the main source of complaint amongst people i spoke to.
Other than that the skiing area is very good although the blue run back to the gondola station is very crowded. No bobody seemed to have piste maps and if they printed these and distributed them it would be a big help as there are alternmatives available.
The skiing from the very top of the mountain is as good as anywhere else.
Bansko offers good value and is very reasonable in pricing although lift pass is expensive if purchased in the resort. Also be sure to book your equpiment in advance as this is also limited.
