Hi, just wanted to ask opinions on which is the better resort, went to borovets last Jan and have booked to go to Bansko in march. Want to know what to expect???re: Bansko vs borovets
doing the opposite!If you are in school hols there will be gonola queues at Bansko - go early or late!

Bansko has a much more modern a exciting atmospherewereas borevts seems to be worn out compared to bansko and has a much more chilled out feeling i personaly belive bansko is the best out of the two

John, Bansko is better if with alot of snow on the ground in the town(pretty rare occurance compared with Pamp (1300-1500m) and Boro resort(1300-1500) being only very poor 900m above the sea level) and if you ignore the building sites left right and centre,the queues,the heavy traffic on the slopes,the longer transfers,the long walks in mud or with car fumes to gondola or busing to and from it and the boring ski road down to town weather permiting.

If you want the opposite on balance Boro seems better.Pamp scores heavy on scenery when snowy and easy runs if enough snow again but infrastructure is bad.
There are more people on this forum with places in Bansko so they will defend their patch more often.

I agree with Mikey. Most of the people here have bought in Bansko and most now realise they have made a cock of it. Even more now that the 500 million Super Borovets Project is underway. Lots bought and hoped to make short term profits and ended up in over development hell.Borovets is the better resort and is about to leap into the international catergory over the next few years.
