Bansko walk and shops

Gidday guys,

I'm one of the lucky next batch to hit BG this weekend.

My better half has asked me to ask a couple of questions so if anyone can answer it would be very much appreciated.

1) We're staying at the Perun. Does anyone know how far/long it is to get to town/gondola
2) Most important question for er indoors. Are there shops and what sort.

Thanks all.

It's Dumping down West Yorkshire.

re: Bansko walk and shops

Hi kiwi1
Your about 500m from the gondolier and 800m from the centre, there are a few shops, a bit gifty with a lot of designer rip-offs (glasses, shirts etc). There are also a couple of reasonable ski shops though i didn`t think the prices were that good as most of the gear is imported. I must admit to not spending to much time shopping (well you don`t, do you)...

Hope this helps

re: Bansko walk and shops

There's lots of little shops in bansko, selling fake designer wear, some of it are reasonable copies and there is a market on sunday, just head for the square with the fountain and turn left and it's all along the road
lots of new shops on pirin street
