Anyone have any reviews on this place. The ups and downs? Whats good, whats bad? Any inside information would be great. Far from the slopes? I know it says 350m but in real terms with all your boots and gear on? How long? Is there good food there? Are the rooms any good?
don't know the hotel Sean but if its to far to walk with all your gear you could hire a locker at the base station or get a taxi only cost around £1.50
never saw the hotel but most of them run a ski bus to the gondla in the mornings and back to hotel in the afternoon. the food in bansko town is excellent and cheap so if the food in the hotels not the best you can always eat out and it wont break the bank.
Stopped at the rahoff last year on the advice of james at the avalon ,good hotel run by krassi and his wife. He also met us at the airport in sofia , had a great time and would be stopping there again but need more room as my two kids are coming with us this year ! Not too far from the gondola station but would not walk it with boots and skis ,Krassi recommended using bansko sport for ski gear and they let us keep our stuff at their shop overnite and gave us a cup of mulled wine each ...
