Bansko/Self catering/family

Hi,
We are thinking about Bansko ?self catering- we have only had 2wks experience at La Plagne complex before- have 2 kids (boy=17 girl=14)- will need to go Feb 06 half term. Is this resort ok for (almost) beginners - parents still rather nervous(esp wife)- (son=speed demon!)? We like eat out /in 50:50 so don't want to be too far from town center. Any advice greatly appeciated.
