Bansko

Hello,

We are thinking of booking a holiday to Bransko, but we are concerned as to how many good runs there will be for boarders of an intermediate level. Can anybody let us know what it's like please?

Cheers

hi skate,
Met up with some boarders last week. Quite good for boarders, runs are wide . Good choice of blue and reds. Booze

Gondola takes about 20 mins and then you have a choice of where to go from there. Right to the top takes you about another 10 - 15 mins.

The pistes in Bansko are absolutely excellent for intermediate boarders, of a good gradient and not too many flats. Some places you learn to keep a good glide on but not any more so than other resorts I've been. If an improving intermediate goes to Bansko and doesn't get any better, pack it in and take up skiing. Don't get your hopes up about the pipe or park as they were non-existant when we went (over Xmas) and judging by postings they don't seem to be high on list of priorities. For a ...

For a decent boarder it can be a bit limiting, but as were going back out on the 4th March it can't be that bad. Don't bother with the return road to the town. Leave that to the heroes and skiers. Have a good one John. p.s. Don't like the reports about the warm weather though....still there are plenty of "recreational" facilities to frequent if it's a bit wet.
