I highly recommend Bansko - you will really love it.
There are various sites with further info about Bansko. Drop me an email and I can give you further in-depth information but in general terms, I stay in the Hotel Perun which I can highly recommend. It is a few minutes away from the Gondola and they run a shuttle bus to and from. It is a high quality hotel with excellent facilities, good food, helpful staff etc.

Hi Robo

Another popular hotel is the high class Kempinski. This is newly built and is on the slopes at the base of the Gondola so the closest you can get to the gondola. I have heard very good reports about this hotel and may try it myself next year.
A little more into the town is the Strazhitze - this has a bowling alley and is opposite the Lion Bar (a popular sports sky satellite bar) and not far from other popular bars and eateries.
Various new hotels and appartments are popping up as Bansko is currently undergoing a vast expansion.
Excellent skiing and fantastic snow records - have you seen it there at the moment!!! I just came back last week so missed the mega dump of snow they have there at the moment but then again, I am off to Borovets this weekend!!
Can 100% recomend Hotel Avalon, tap this in on a search engine and you will find it.
It isa small and vey personal 3 star hotel run by an English man and his Bulgarian wife. The hotel has recently all been refurbished and they can both not do enough for you to help you have a good stay. They even took us horseriding when the gondola was closed.
It is a small hotel which does B&B has sauna, jacuzzi and ski boot room. Takes 10 minutes to walk to gondola or they have a little bus ...

Check out their website double room B&B for £27.00 a night. Then book your flights seperately. Hotel will also arrange taxi transfer you too. Any more info ask us, we had a brilliant time there.
Sorry Robo for not being into the Buzz Bar...I 'hanged' in the Hrima and then went straight to the hotel..!
Which period are you looking for Bansko? maybe next year too!
Waiting for the report from Gertie when he returns..
greetings Tanjette
I stayed at the stazhite, very clean, really freindly staff, nice pool, nice ski and boot room (closes at 6pm) sauna steam really good, only down fall was no jacuzzi. Bowling alley all brand new. Atm right next door. The lion bar accross the road really good. Bus to the gondala every 15mins or so.
From talking to people we met all the hotels seem very good.
Have Fun
Suz
I agree with Kim having just come back from the Perun. The outdoor pool is to die for (it really is like a bath), the indoor pool is also really warm. Everything about the Perun is class.
