Booked Holiday in Bansko, fly out 4th of feb, anyone tell me what the snow should be like at this time of the year, anyone know how likely there will be snow at this time of the year? thanks

look on the archive webcam for bansko so u can see what it was like this year for when u want to go next year

The snow will be skiable to excellent between mid Dec to early-mid April.

ah depends on global warming, all could be changing you should be fine, even if you cant ski to the bottom the top parts are always fine.

Ski'd Bansko right up to then end this year (16 April). Although the morning was better due to the sun melting the surface layer too much for my liking by 1pm. Felt like skiing with a worn out clutch as you travelled from shade to sunlight and back again!

Hi guys
Newbie here.
Have just booked up for Bansko 23 december 06 - I have two concerns
[1] Does Santa know where Bansko is or should I include a map in my next wish list letter to him
[2] Booked into an apartment that should be built by the time I get there !

What time does the gondola open ? -
We are intermediate Snowboarders - just managed my first 180 ! ( not a pretty sight) Just wondered how I will cope with thge slopes there - never got off a chair lift before ( scary !)

1) No he doesn't I went last yearand all I got for Xmas was a great big hangover.

Gondola tends to open before one has sobered up

If you can do a 180 just bomb the Tomba from top to bottom and you should learn to take off which will add to your list of tricks

Please tell me when you are attempting the first chair lift I will be able to film it for you. I will be there at the same time.
