Hi thereFriends are planning a ski trip to Bankso in Jan/Feb'07, can anyone recommend what it's like ?

Brilliant!! Both on-piste and off-piste runs are great. Of course, there isn't hundreds and hundreds of km's of runs but there is more than enough to keep the keen skier busy and challenged.Bansko village itself is a great little place and given how cheap everything is, you are bound to enjoy it just as much as everyone else who visits Bansko each winter.

We went for a few days over last New Year and loved it so much that we're going back again at the end of Jan for 10 days.

realy good runs were excellent only one long black run but other than that I would go againre: Bansko

Bansko is the up and coming resort its the only out of the 3 that has been purpose built we went 2 yrs ago and it was lovely but when we drove through i thought we had arrived in a war zone!! It had lots of unfinished buildings but hey they have to be built at some stage. Im a travel agent and i was on an educational so got to see quite a few of the hotels and they weer all good. Ski there was good too. Transfer time is quite long so i opt for Pamporovo now. Drop me aline if you want good ...

Bril ! can't wait.We've seen an apartment around 600m from gondola, is this an ok walk ? or bus ride ?
