just come back from Bansko. My 2nd time there. Top tips are, try one of the mehanas down in the town. Amazing. Also check out the bulgarian elvis impersonator in one of the resturants, you'll find the one. Try the happy end bar for a nice drink after the slopes. Also there's a lovely pizza place over the road from the happy end near the milka cow, superb. Conditions wise, its ok. A bit icy in places, the upper slopes are not too bad. The tomba (black) run is open now which is good. Some of the pistes that were closed were still ok, in fact some of the best snow was found on these, although lower down watch for rocks. If its busy, the gondola queue is hectic from about 3pm onwards. Maybe try and get up the slopes early and come down a bit earlier if you can. If it it isn't busy, you'll be fine.
