Hi guys, in Bansko now, been here since Sat. Plenty of snow, only probs really were runs being closed for the racing yest and today, and because of high winds some of the runs were closed Sun, but a couple more opened yesterday, then shut down again later because of the winds. Have not skied today as got up too late but around lunchtime they closed the gondola because of the high winds but you could get a tax etc to drive you to the top. Have not skied today as got up too late but around lunchtime they closed the gondola because of the high winds but you could get a tax etc to drive you to the top. Snowed quite a bit in bansko town last night, so assuming would have had lots more on the mountain. I think we are going to get more snow tonight as well and as the racing should be finished today hopefully will be quieter on runs and ques for lifts etc which have been awful with so many rude people pushing in, a couple of fights almost broke out it got so bad. Snow forecast is looking good, so people coming out this weekend should get it even better, providing the winds are not too bad and they don't close the gondola. As I said early plenty of snow to ski on so don't worry about snow. Most bulgarians have been very friendly and polite, some a bit miserable, but then we all have bad days don't we. Any questions I will be here for abour 5-10 mins.
Hi, sorry to all questions about the apartments cos I don't know them. I have been here since sat and have not seen it rain in the town at all. We had quite a lot of snow in the town last night, lots gone today, but cos so cold a bit icy in places, but def more snow on the way. All runs have plenty of snow on them, but not all have been open because of the high winds and the racing yest and today.

Staying in the Perun, most staff great, breakfast is best food cos they will cook if for you there and then, dinner not brill but ok, puds usually nice. Restaurant is too small for all the people so if you eat when they open at 7 get there first. We ate about 9.00pm last night and almost empty, food still there but best puds gone.
Pool outside is being used even though it's so cold cos it;s so hot nad most people seem quite happy here.
If you are an animal lover like me, all the stray dogs will break your heart cos you will wan't to feed them all. Will be signing of now, but please everyone, don't worry about lack of snow, plenty on the mountains, just hope the winds die dow a bit so the gondola is not shut.
I stayed in Perun last week. Back now and having to adjust to real life.
The hotel rooms are faultless. I'm not a fan of hotels, but Perun was great. Only two possible criticisms - couple of newly-weds were disappointed to find that the beds were twin not double.
Also, there's a nightclub in the basement of the Hotel Lion across the street. So if you're on that side and you're a light sleeper you could be in for trouble. We spent the first night right opposite the nightclub and ...

Also, there's a nightclub in the basement of the Hotel Lion across the street. So if you're on that side and you're a light sleeper you could be in for trouble. We spent the first night right opposite the nightclub and though I would have muddled along, my other half couldn't sleep so she got us moved to a different room.
Best thing we found with Perun is the swimming pool, steam room, sauna, hot tub and outdoor pool (hot as bathwater). Great switching from one to the other for an hour or so after skiing!
