Hi anyone stayed in the Hotel Lion heading out 6th March just wondered if anyone had any tips on where by it is, stayed in the Kepinski last year so ver near slopes, wonderng how far it is in relation to that.Thanks

It's a good 300 - 400m due east of the Kepinski, ie to the left as you look up the mountain.re: Bansko

We are doing the same this year. Stayed at the Kempinski last year, but met up with people staying at the Lion. It was a nice hotel, and is €500 cheaper than staying at the Kempinski this year.
The Lion, as said above, is at the top of the town about 400m from the Kempinski. It is close to JJ Murphy's where we seemed to spend a bit of time last year!!
JJ Murphys have a half price Happy Hour 5-6pm each day. A pint Of Lager for less than a £...!!!! Sounds good for Apres Ski.. ...

We stayed there last year and are going out to the Emerald tommorrow. There is a shuttle bus but most morning we walked & it took about 10-15mins. The hotel is great and we would have stayed again this year but wanted the extra lie-in in the mornings!re: Bansko

10-15 minutes to walk from the Lion? Did you have a zimmer frame
5 mins tops! Good location some nice bars close bar, and other hotels opposite and next door. You wont be disapointed. The Log fire in the reception in fantastic!!!

Thanks everyone glad iv mad a good choicethat will keep all the group happy, and as stated it is very much cheeper than the kepinski, think i can manage the walk in the morning. Roll on March hope you all have a great timeThanks Mandy

Thanks for all the help and support have booked the Lion and fly out on the 6th March hope the snows good and cant wait to ski again, hopefully this year l will nail that parallel skiing x
