Bansko

Does anyone know if the teepee bar/cafe place (think it's called Gimme Shelter) near the bottom of the ski road back to Bansko, is still there and would be open this season... as we used it as a meetup place at the end of everyday and would be nice to know if it was still there this season, if we decide to go Bansko again this year.

Its still there. Not sure if will be open or not yet depends if Ulen allow it or try to get it shut again.

Peshrite just before it will be open and they have cheaper beer and food.

when they were there last year, they had people from ulen, fencing the entrance off, and watching as the workers who kept trying to remove it lol... ulen are a bunch of idiots, thats what i like about borovets, lots of things are independently owned so they give their attention to customers to get them to come in, ulen don't care cause it's all owned by them

Ulen want to monopolise the mountain, thats why we support private enterprises like the Peshterite, the Isverite hotel and BBQ in Challin Valog, and the Shilligarnika hotel.. the wigwam is actually owned by someone from Sofia, and i thought was a bit pricey... funny with Ulen though, they got one of the barmen arrested for interfearing with the netting

ON the left off the ski rd just before you get into town cant really miss a 30ft high indian tepee with smoke coming out the top

Just spoke to Andre , he is one of the owners , and yes they are hoping to open, but there are still problems with Ullen, so maybe with no Teepee
