Has anybody stayed at the Banko appts advertised on this website. I have been had a good price for them and would value any comments you have.
Also as this is a kind of do it yourself holiday, how much should I be paying for flights (bearing in mind we intend to go in Feb next year over ½ term).
Also, does anyone know how much a private transfer cost between Sofia and Bansko??
Any help would be appreciated.

I can only say this, we had a fab 7 days there with a few bad points, been back now about 8 week and can't even remember them!! So don't dwell and the bad think about what was good.

Flight should be around £200-250 from Heathrow, early booking needed.
Transfer to Bansko is more difficult. You might want to get a taxi, but you need to know who to ask, to get a cheap deal. The distance is 161 km, a driver might give you a lift for £40-50, but you will need some time to ask around. There is a bus, but it is too much of a bother. Hiring a car is probably best, but you need to be brave: you will find the world's most dangerous drivers on the roads there. Not to mention ...
