Bansko

HI,

i'm considering purchasing a property in Bansko.... please could you let me know if you've been to the resort and what the snow conditions were like. I'd also appreciate any information on the difficulty of the skiing that you encountered.

Thanks in advance

re: Bansko

Why Bansko.? Borovets will be much better when new project is complete and only 1 hour from Sofia Airport. I have a property there now and see there are new build villas and apartments underconstruction. Snow conditions at both are similar.

There's still loads of snow even now, check out Banskoski.com.
There are four webcams in the mountain.

Borovets is on the drawing board, Bansko is happening now!!!

re: Bansko

you can probably tell from the email address that I'd be rooting for Bansko.

Been going there all of this season and watching it grow.

The skiing is great with a wide range from complete beginner to expert black run designed by downhill champion Alberto Tomba.

The town itself is lovely, real old Bulgarian charm with most of the locals extremely friendly and welcoming.

I have been so impressed with the place that I set up a Bulgarian company, and have now bought over 5000 sq mtrs of land in Bansko and a nearby village to build villas and apartments, and am looking forward to involvement there over the next few years.

It certainly feels like a good, fun resort that you could take the whole family too, if you wanted.

Weve just brought a place in Bansko, right at gondala not even on release yet..due to be built by sept 2006 (5* complex) bansko is far far better cleaner nicer place- they have also been confirmed another 35km of pistes to be built. you get a lovely old town with wicked surroundings.
