Bansko

I have been emailing and texting our ski instructor in Bansko from last year. Though the webcams for Bansko look a bit dodgy he texted me today telling me it was better than it looks and he said, 'tonight be snowing again'.

Bit of reassurance

Someone I know is out there today. He texted a mutual friend to say that he was halfway up the gondola and it was snowing. The main runs are a lot higher up than that so looks OK. Snow tonight will be excellent.

The current freeze-thaw conditions are actually a good thing as it will consolidate the fresh snow and when the temperatures drop it will improve the quality of the pistes and general snowpack.
