Now there's at least a light dusting of new snow, thoughts are turning to non skiing parts of the holiday starting in 8 days, 12 hours. (not that I'm counting)
I remeber when in Boro (1997) and years ago in Albena (1989 I think ... it was still a communist country at the time) that you had to take a seat in the bar and be served by a waitress, rather than approach the bar and order.
It didn't happen absolutely eveywhere, but it was definately the norm in the bar at the Edelweiss. When ...

Not at all, there are now stools around most bars. But you can still get very good service from waitresses! Ask DelBoy

its all down to tips robert, if you sit down and get served your more likely to tip them, if you get it at the bar thyve got no chance. Whilst im on this point, it has changed this year unfortunately, the ladies in the samakov were great at encouraging you to sit on the LOW seats as they had rather low cut tops and every time they bent over to serve you..............(i know a bit sad, but it used to make me smile!!!!!!!!)re: Bar etiquette.

fantastic! why did you not mention this before...it almost makes me want to book a holiday there right now this very minute.Wish bars in the UK were as obliging
