Quick Update -

As always we had a fantastic time and pamps was starting to get very busy from Friday onwards due to bulgarian holiday. The Castle was full and the atmosphere was great.

We visited the orphanage at Shiroka Laka on Thursday and the start of a traditonal festival by the name of Kukeri (think that how you spell it) with costumes, barbecues, drinking etc was begining to take place that weekend. The festival celebrates the start of spring with wishes for health and happiness.

The snow was fantastic with the new long runs to Stoikite a real treat. Our bulgarian friend and ski instructor has said there is enough snow until the end of March.

All in all another great holiday - roll on next year!

Wow! That was fantastic. I'm taking my just turned 4 year old for his first ski trip on the 14th. Did the girls have private lessons or go to ski kindergarten? My son isn't that good at following instructions so I have booked the kindergarten for him for the week and will see how he gets on.

Hi Shakey - my barbie girl had one to ones with an instructor two hours a day - she knows her well as we have been going for three years now and she babysat her when she was 2 and 3 then taught at 4. They 6 is the best age for them to understand instruction. Although you would be very surprised what they pick up - pizza is used for snow plough and chips is to go straight and it works a treat! As for the kindergarden I have heard very good reports about it and of course they get the chance ...

As for the kindergarden I have heard very good reports about it and of course they get the chance to ski, sledge etc We are trying to pay catch up with her brother even though he is 9 (and a speed king) I have been told all being well in another two years she would be able to ski with him if she keeps going the way she is - thus the reason for the private lessons. Enjoy your week - arent our kids so lucky being giving these opportunitys so young!

Shakey my son went on his 1st ski hol at 4 and like your son is pants at following instructions even now at 8 ( his instructor this year had a few scares with some of the jumps and things he was doing even when told they may not be a good idea). He had 1-1 for the first two ski hols and was skiing blacks at 6 and started doing the wall last year. He had 4hrs a day with some skiing with me and my group too. If your son is the typical fearless boy then 1-1 with a good instructor and he will be skiing like a pro. Logan's instructor didn't try teaching him turns conventionally he let him race down the nursery slope full pelt a few times then asked if he could zigzag - then could he stop before the instructor they had races who could stop quickest. This worked a treat with him he always had fun and is now a great skier. Very Happy Very Happy
