folks i'm a bit muddled here - went to a few different banks to get levs and they said that nobody deals with that currency and not to bring any back cos you wont be able to change it - they said euo is fine but people on here are saying the bars wont take it ?? do they take sterling in the bars ? getting into pamps late tomorrow nite and want to hit the bars straight off, dont want to be standing outside the bar with a bunch of euros and a dry tongue
Ah might be a problem in Ireland then. Never used Euro's in Pamps so can't comment but I don't think that the bars will take them. But you should have no trouble exchangin them in your hotel.
They take levs in bars no sterling no euros. There are many places you can get levs but a lot of travel agents in the town where I live do not keep them in stock they have to order them in which takes a few days. If you bring notes back you should be able to change them back. See previous posts to find out where to get levs in Bulgaria.
Some banks in the uk might not deal with that currency. All of the Travel agents in the uk who have a burea will have Levs. Marks and spencer have the best rates com free. I got mine from the internet yesterday from travelex.co.uk. The also have the best rate comm free and you pick it up from the Airport. Great System. Give it a try
Euros can be changed in any of the resorts/hotels to levs.
Rate of aprox 1.9 per euro.
If your in the south, dont exchange your euro into sterling then in lev. Potentially 2 exchange commissions.
In regards of getting in late, your hotel reception will change a few for you. Not A Problem.
If your from N Ireland or scotland, make sure it is Bank of England notes otherwise the sterling rate is crazy low
