Beginner snowboarding in Borovets and equipment hire

Hi

I have a couple of questions about Borovets:

I've pre-booked the ski package but want to know if its possible to swap equipment half way through the week and try snowboarding (which I've never done before) aswell?

Also, I've read a couple of negative comments on the standard of snowboarding tuition in resort. Anyone have any comments on this?
My boyfriend , a complete beginner was planning on boarding. Should he think about doing skiing instead maybe?

Thanks in advance guys!

No he should stay with boarding this will make him more attractive, more intelligent and a better person.
The instructors you get will be randomly chosen so i couldn't say if the overall tuition is good or not. The nutter we had was called Tommy and he worked in Franco's Pizza he was F**king marvellous and spoke good English so it was easy to pick up.
Boarders are still a little second class but things are getting better.
Whatever you decide you should have a great time.

There equipment should be checked before you leave the depot as i could see lots of people walking back down the slope to change Bindings.
Make shaw your boots are as comfy as poss and the board is roughly the same height as you are.
Fell free to ask more if i can help i will.
Cheers or as we said in BG Nasti Driver

re: Beginner snowboarding in Borovets and equipment hire

Just returned - my son did snowboarding absolutely brilliant - instructor spoke good english and stayed with them far longer than the alloted and paid for time - he could snowboard down some of the higher runs by the end of the week and he is only 13 - only 5 in his group as opposed to 15 to 20 in the ski groups Very Happy
