There are so many nice places to eat.

What exactly do you mean by Posh?
Pricy
Nice decor
Very cultrual
non local styule food?

To me the best place to eat has to be where ever hasd the best food irrespective of price i.e. the cheapest may have the best food. Also decor thats a highly personal preference - I personally really like the old style places with open fires not specifically built to the tourists taste but to how they want it to look in traditional decor.

there is a really good resturant just on the edge of town, on the main road, its about a 15 minute walk from the gondla. very traditional inside, has a large green tuborg bottle on the outside of the building, lamb melts in your mouth, reasonably priced very busy with locals, which is always a good sign of good food.

The Italian and Japanese restaurants in the Kempinski Hotel are both very civilized. Booze

The restaurant right outside The Lion & Perun hotels is excellent. Its quite up market with a big wine cellar at the back where you can go and pick your wine. There is also a massive open fire where they cook the meat.

I've eaten there a few times and had a great meal. There is also a bar upstairs for afterwards. Although it does do Kareoke.

I cannot remember the name of said restaurant but it is the only one there!

I like the real Mehanas in the old town. Bi Kotse is my favourite
