Best conditions.

Hey PP, we're off tomorrow, and off to Bansko. Now you read most reports on this site no doubt, and i was wondering, in your opinion. Which resort has th best skiing/boarding conditions at the moment/next week. Bansko or Borovets?

I am talking skiing conditions only, not state of the town or nightlife or hotels. Purely about the snow!!!

Any help appreciated.

Bansko has 2 major things in it's favour.

1. The highest resort.
2. The most snow cannons.

Bansko has retained the skiing for most of the season, and although conditions may not be brilliant for the ski road - most other runs are in pretty good condition and you will find loads of slopes to ski on.

right i ain't PP but i come on here a lot. borovets has 140cm up the top and 70cm down the bottom all lifts are open.

also bansko groomers are slioghtly better than borovets ones so that may help but at the minute the conditions out in borovets are slightly better as the groomers are packing it down a lot. but bansko is also really good.

yeah. you don't need to worry about conditions in bansko this week as they are real good.

THankyou for your help guys. I appreciate it. I could chaange, but will stick out with Bansko. I am sure i will have a blast anyway. If i rip up my board, i need to buy another one anyway!! Oh and Pete, your webcam link didn't.

Will do. Hoping it will snow, for me and everyone after. I am sure i will have a great time no matter what. ENjoy the last week before you go, its the most nervous checking the snow conditions and the temps!

Pete you are wrong.Bansko and Borovets top stations are the same(Markudjik 3 drag lift is 2500something same as the Bansko top.the only difference is that Borovers base is 1300m above the sea level as Bansko is 900m.in the current conditions Borovets has more snow and wins this time round.even if you remove the other bits as look,mud,ugliness,queues,long walks from the judgment.
