I am looking for some advice please. I have booked to go skiing for the first time. We are going to Pamporovo and have booked a learn to ski package which includes boots, skis etc.
I was just wondering about the availability of larger sized ski boots (I am size UK13) from the rental companies. I have asked my tour operator to log this requirement, but was wondering if omeone had any experience of the availability of these sizes?
I have no experience of Pamps itself but some years ago I went with a group to Cervinia, Italy and one of the group had the same size feet as you. He got the only pair of size 13 boots available in the hire shop and they were as uncomfortable as hell. He persevered rather than not ski and ended up with a nasty calf injury which never completely healed. Would strongly recommend that you try and get a pair in the UK before you go.
don't worry i went last year and found the biggest size they had in the new ski shack was 13. i don't know about the other shack but if your with balkan holidays you o:k
You shouldn't have a problem getting hire boots the right size in Pamporovo. Comfort is another subject. Can't beat your own boots, especially when you are larger than average.

I've been to Pamps for the last two years and take a size 13. No problems at all comfort wise. Actually, as only a few people take that size, they tend to be in better condition than the more regular sizes!!
