I'm off to Bansko to do a spot of boarding, but am with a skier who is not very confident. She is keen to ski the 'ski road' which I believe is a 7km long track back to town. I would love to board back to the hotel, but if the road is too flat, I could end up having to take my board off and walk back (Curse the lack of poles!). In snow, in boarding boots, this isn't a great!
Does anybody know what it's like to board down this route?
Someone suggested my brother carry a telescopic ski pole - he found this helped a lot with the last and flattest part... even skiers need to use their poles on some parts.
