What no Paulo! I Don,t Believe It, who is going to wait for me????

As for no turning, do you mean I have to ski straight down as per Bobby on the ski jump ramp? if so I will have to keep my eyes closed again!!!!!

Benn is probably still in shock after breaking his wrist on the first day, and all the mickey taking he had to endure.
Would be good to hear from him though ??

re: Boarding to skiing?

Here's a greenfrogfrolics tru-story...

Eldest daughter (23 in both years and waist measurement) started out snowboarding at age 13. On her second time she fell and succeeded in breaking BOTH her wrists. Yes, at the same time. Which made life unbelievably difficult for a few weeks as you may only begin to imagine if it has not happened to you or someone close to you.

She gave up snowboarding. Resigned from the dark side. 'Never again' she said.

A couple of years ago her godfather ...

A couple of years ago her godfather took her to Courcheval (and she only went reluctantly!). He paid for her to have a couple of private ski lessons.

She LOVED skiing. She loved being able to get down a mountain without sitting down. She loved how EASY it was. She was doing red runs on the second day and blacks the day after.

Now she has seen the light she will be a skier for the rest of her life.

Does that answer your question Francis?

Hi Greenfrogfrolics,

I was curious through the enjoyment factor as me personally i feel a lot more free on a board than i did on a pair of ski's!!!! ouch!!!!!! that must have hurt!!!!!!

re: Boarding to skiing?

Well, she'd only boarded for a total of 10 days, including several days learning and sitting on her backside.

I got the news she was injured while I was suspended on a chairlift. I belted down to the clinic where she had been given hallucinatory drugs and arrived in time to stroke her head while they manipulated one wrist. Yeah, it hurt her a lot!!! Then I had to do virtually everything for her for the next few weeks. Yes, everything!
