YES £29.54 for 33 lifts out of 33 open... 40 cm of snow forecast between Weds and Sunday....
I do however know there are only 2 rooms for 2 people each left in the Caravasc hotel, which provided it really does have 4 walls and a roof does me fine...
Ps...Dont even bother asking crystal ski unless you have a credit card for this request...their rules are different and other operators maybe too.... BUT remember you may have a choice.... PICK UP THE PHONE
Dont ask, dont want , dont get.!!
I hope this saves someone elses winter, like mine....because lets face it...is there any point in going to the airport on saturday if your Pamp bound?,,,unless you fancy the ridicule of a skiing holiday picking daffodils of course..
cant get to the bottom of that, and lets face it,,,,do we care...i 'm thinking 7 days of skiing and duty free real name booze....going to Bulgaria is sooooo last week...
Hi, I really hope that you have done the right thing for you, but just thought I'd let you know what I have just got from the Ski Club of GB. This first report is for Bulgaria:
It is going to be a bright sunny start to the week but there is some good news as snow is forecast for later in the week. Bansko (30/40cm) and Borovets (20/30cm) have the best skiing in Bulgaria.
At both resorts the lower slopes have become soft due to the recent sunny weather but higher up good skiing can be found on well groomed pistes. Pamporovo (3/9cm) is not fairing as well though and lower down the slopes are patchy due to a lack of snow following the warm weather spell. It also mentioned that at present there is 40cm at the top and 30cm on the lower slopes (dated 15th Jan).
For Livingo, at present they have 18cm on the lower slopes but 75cm on the higher, but no snow fall predicted for the next 6 days (in Livingo, not all of Italy) ad none had in the past 2 days, but here is their report.
As predicted there has been no new snowfall in Italy but lots of lovely skiing in the sunshine over the weekend and more to follow. Pistes are predominantly well packed and hard in the mornings and soften in the afternoon in the sun. The Milky Way resorts are all skiing well and are expecting clouds to move in on Tuesday with a chance of snow on Wednesday. The best skiing remains at Cervinia (20/120cm) which is also hoping to see some new snow on Wednesday. Across the rest of Italy the nice weather looks set to continue throughout the week.
It's such a shame, but most areas of Europe are experiencing problems with snow, and when I was in Italy 28th Jan last year they had not had any snow since Dec, although with thier snow cannons we were able to ski.
I think wherever you go you will just have to make the best of it, and as I will be in Bansko from the 27th Jan, if I can't ski then so be it, I'm sure we will still enjoy our first taste of Bulgaria anyway.
