Boot & Ski hire Borovets

Hi all

Can anyone tell me what the ski hire is like in Borovets?
I am a little worried what the boots are going to be like. I have a feeling that they are going to be really old and worn!!

I can't decide wether to buy some boots or not.

Cheers

The Samokov ski hire equipment was very good this year, heard very little complaints, it is always advisable to have your own boots if you are a 2nd yr skiier

Don't know about skis and boots, but in general - don't go to Borosport near the Globul. They're totally incompetent and we hired boards and boots from there and the bindings were broken, the boots leaked, they were really old and worn, and they gave me a huge man's board with the bindings round the wrong way (after they'd just asked me which way round I wanted them).
We gave up on them and went to Samokov Hotel's hire place and the equipment was so much better. (although they were still ...

Good luck.

Got mine from the Ski Hire place at the bottom of the Rila (As part of a package deal). The boots were new this year and so were the skis (Ingams Rep said that they were 3 weeks old but I recon they were a little older). Great boots and skis and only leaked on the very last day.

re: Boot & Ski hire Borovets

went for our first ski holiday last year and hired all our equipment, boots werent the best so we ended up buying them there. much cheaper to buy them out there rather than in this country. But as people have replied they may have braught new stock, but at least you have the option to buy them!
