I might buy a new pair of ski boots in borovets this year, where is a decent place to buy them and how much should i expect to pay? Any advice would be great.

re: Boots

tut tut Cool

boot prices will be dependant on whether its last years range or the current year, theres a few good shops, but you need that friendly assistance of a local, maybe your instructor, so that you pay a reasonable price.

re: Boots

yeah def. try to get a bulgarian to go with you, you can always offer them a percentage of the discount they manage to get you or offer them 20 lev to help, last year I wanted a hat which was 30 lev - gave my ski instructor 20 lev to get it and told him to keep the change - he got it for 11 lev. so saved me money and gained him some

re: Boots

Boots in Bulgarian resorts are excellent value for money, but take time to try them on, walk around in them and make sure they are a perfect fit.

I bought my Lange boots from Jordans in Pamporovo about 6 years ago. Fit like slippers and we ski hard for 2 weeks at a time.

Cost me about £80 if I remember rightly, and that's a fraction of UK prices.
