Hi there cath, We stayed there last Feb, The Bor to be precise. The walk to the Gondola is about 10-15 mins and 15 and a bit to the rila slopes, It is about 700-800m with a few quaint shops on the way. There are always horse and carts outside reception but agree a price before you set off, otherwise it will be 15lev not 10lev and it mounts up. There are 3 rila ski depots and we had the one under the rila not out the front and we believe this to be the best one in resort having used a few. ...

You would think down the hill to the hotel in the evening would be easier but we tended to walk in the morning and cart in the evening.
The Bor was clean. Nice bar, fair size rooms, no ski storage And if you dont expect too much of the food you wont be dissappointed! It was all perfectly edible and nothing wrong with it (not piping hot) We liked it (we love eggs and cabbage lol)
All in all a nice hotel, the only reason we stayed somewhere else (iglika palace which is lovely) in Jan is its location out of resort. Im sure you will have a great time there.
We are also off to breza March 11th and we cant............. i mean we are really looking forward to it
When do you go?
Thanks for that, i'm staying in the Bor-Edelweiss from the 11th, there's 4 of us. 2 who will be learning to board while there.
Is there much distance between the Bor and Edelewiss Hotel?
I think only about 100m between the two sister hotels.
All the bars and most of the shops are between the gondola and the rila slopes, 'hope this helps.
You going on the 11 March or 11 Feb?
Have a great time
