Can anyone help? Myself and a friend are coming to Borovets for the first time on 19th December - panicing somewhat about the snow status, as most others are too judging by forum! Do you think we'll be able to ski?? I see on the news feed Bansko opened today - if there's no piste open in Boro, how much is a return transfer to Bansko, and would a pre-purchases ski pass be transferable in such an event?
Talking of which - it looks like an online booking for a full ski pack ...
Hi there
Can anyone help? Myself and a friend are coming to Borovets for the first time on 19th December - panicing somewhat about the snow status, as most others are too judging by forum! Do you think we'll be able to ski?? I see on the news feed Bansko opened today - if there's no piste open in Boro, how much is a return transfer to Bansko, and would a pre-purchases ski pass be transferable in such an event?
Talking of which - it looks like an online booking for a full ski pack (hire, pass, and lessons 4hrs per day) for 6 days is 214 Euros - www.skiborovets.bg but concerned to purchase in advance with snow issues...anywhere to buy such a pack at similar rates upon arrival??
claire if i were you i would wait and see what happens. we were there at new year last year and would have wasted a lot of money if we had prebooked everything.
They are happy to take your money even last minute but i am sure not so happy to refund once they have it.
Hi Claire,
Sorry to say that ski passes are not transferable from one resort to another. Check your booking details as most tour companies do offer a refund if no skiing is possible, but even if they get one run open this constitutes the resort being open and it most cases would invalidate any refund.
Lets keep everything X'd and hopefully it won't be an issue for you.
We're good Pete, looking forward to the season... Wens spoken about getting over to Pamps in Feb, i've never been so it would be good, but we'll have to see how we are fixed, and the recovery period after being with you `drinking fools'
