re: Boro March 6th

Love watching the kids - jealous as well though when someone half my size has ten times my talent! There is usually enough room for everyone, so closure of a few slopes for a few hours is not really a problem. (assuming there is snow on all of them)
Will be looking out for you!

Usually better to book beforehand . Hunters have/had a good deal on Hunters-ski.com if you want the ski school too?

re: Boro March 6th

Hi all,

Excuse the newbie post, but my Girlfriend and I are all booked for Borovets from 6th March. I have only ever been skiing in Australia before (believe it or not) and was wondering what conditions are normally like in Boro in early March? Different from year to year I presume, but will there always be SOME snow? What is it like when they use the cannons??

We are staying at Hotel Ela, from the 6th for 7 days. Can't wait!

Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy,
I went March last year on local advice that March was a great month for lots of snow with less traffic on the piste , and they were right conditions were fantastic, it was quieter but met some great people. This year is unpredictable though so who knows ,you'll just have to watch and wait and hope. I still haven't booked as want to make absolutely sure there will be snow as I already did one week with very little snow! Fingers crossed!! Hotel Ela is very, very nice though, ...

Hotel Ela is very, very nice though, very central also - food can be a little bland at dinner time - but you can always eat out!

Fly out on the 6th March 2010. Weather forcast for next 14 days does not look good, sun and rain. My first skiing holiday and already regretting booking it, with all the bad reviews and write ups this place has been getting has really put me off. Fingers crossed the weather reports are wrong and its actually turns out to be an good place in the end, and not a waste of money and a hell hole people are saying it is.
