Morning All!
Sorry for not posting all week.. The season is nearing the end, so I have been spending time going back and forth to the UK and catching up on work.
Last week (5th to 12th) was definitely the best conditions of the season and it is true that the slopes are now in very poor condition. However, the post saying the resort will have to close is not acuurate, so for those coming out at the weekend, don't panic just yet!

Sorry for not posting all week.. The season is nearing the end, so I have been spending time going back and forth to the UK and catching up on work.
Last week (5th to 12th) was definitely the best conditions of the season and it is true that the slopes are now in very poor condition. However, the post saying the resort will have to close is not acuurate, so for those coming out at the weekend, don't panic just yet!
As before, the conditions are very poor and there is limited skiing however there is still some skiing and local forecasts are saying snow for the next few days - albeit not very much,.
Marky 1 (although there is once again a horrible muddy walk down from the gondola) is still skiing ok although gets very slushy in the afternoon, so for the best conditions, you need to be on the slopes early - if you have lessons, just ask your instructor to meet earlier rather than later! Also, on this side, the Suhar is skiing ok as well.
Yastrebets slopes are also still skiing well and still have pretty good coverage. The Haramia (down from gondola to Yastrebets) is very poor and may close soon, but you can still get the free shuttle to Yastrebets.
The Rila nursery runs and Rila slopes are still open and again ok, although all the Sitnyakovo runs are closed now. Basically apart from Marky 1 and the Suhar, the runs that remain open are those that are serviced by the cannons as although they have not been on recently, there is more snow on those runs due to the extra snow the cannons provided.
It is very misty up top and on Yastrebets at the moment which is not great news as if the mist doesn't clear, then will be no snow BUT fingers crossed it will come!
