Boro Top Gondola Runs

Hi,

I got back from Boro' on Sunday and wanted to raise a question, the answer of which may be useful for others heading out there.

Are the runs at the top of the Gondola any good?

I tried to get to them on 3 days last week but the Gondola was only operating to the mid station (no real reason!). On the 4th attempt it was going to the top but the queue was over 45mins long!

Did I miss out of some awesome runs. Is it worth others going out their way to get to the top?

You missed out on some lovely stuff. The snow was really good up there and once you'd got through the queue, it was worth the wait.

hi i have just looked at your pictures they look fantastic i am going out to borovets on the 25th now i really can`t wait would you say an intermidiate skier like myself would be able to ski down from the top? did you stay in the iglika chalets? we are staying in the olymp hotel (i am a bit wary as i havent heard anything good about it) but then we`re not intending on being in the hotel much!! also were there long queues at most lifts? thanks lucie

Lucie - Get up early and miss the queue for the Gondola, i think it opens around 9am, but they can get longer by about 10.

Some good red runs down from the top i'm def going to give a go when we go back on SATURDAY!!!!!

Weekends are busier when the locals come and join in the fun!

Judith - your photo's are fantastic, but some of the slopes are harder than they look in the piccies!!
