Boro Versus :

Back from Borovets recently, had a brill time. Someone mentioned Romania as the next big thing. Anyone been skiing there? Does it compare ?

hi dph . . . .its willys wifey . . how ya doing . .was nice to meet you in sunnys bar . .we had fab time in borovets as usual and we will be back next year . .. hubby and sons are in france skiing at mo. . .traitors . .. dont know bout other places cos only been to bulgaria. . .which i love. . .. hope to see you next year

hacent been myself but was talking to someone last year on the slopes, they said it was terrible and had nothing on bansko.

we went to Romanis in January and Borovets in February Romania only had one slope open due to lack of snow, not much going on in resort, food instructors very much like boro, given the choice boro every time no comparrison

we went to boro in feb - loads snow - fab

went to rumania xmas - lack of snow - but was everywhere.. however resort seemed a bit classier than boro... esp for families and would deffo return when lots of snow

would also return to boro ... so my advise is give it a go

hi i went to romania in january it was good people great food great and the best ski instuctors i have ever had .also it was very cheep but i then went to borovets in march and the skiing was a lot better, the runs i mean , but all the rest was better in romania so all in all i liked romania a lot but skiing better in bg and also the night life was better n bg hope this helps
