Hi Chris - us too, staying at Lion, flying from Manchester.Mamcitas is a mexican bar/restaurant, food is great, and they have a band on there usually. Not sure about anywhere else.
Alpina bar is highly recommended, also Hunters (both not far from gondola bottom station).
4 more days to work.....

We were there last week, there was live music in Chilli Peppers, Mamacitas, Revolution, and no doubt several other places too.
We had some very good meals, curry night at the Alpina (Tuesday) is well worth booking a table for. The Alpina has good food on other nights too. Mamacitas is good but quite expensive by comparison. hunters was OK.
Best meal of all was in Samokov town - we took a taxi to Kokoshkova Kushta and had a fabulous meal for way less than we were paying in Borovets. ...
