Lying in my pit (bed) in the very nice hotel Lion. Doesn't look like there's been any real snow overnight at this level. Waiting to see what runs are open.Pete

Morning all. OK snow has stopped but Yastrebets 2 and 3 are open and snow is great up there (much better than last few days) with snow cannons still working. On the Rila side, it is only the Rila nursery slope again which is open for skiing. The Sitnyakovo Express is open again but that is only for walkers not for skiing. The gondola was shut and has just opened, but again, the snow is awful up top - very patchy, lots of rocks / stones etc is being opened for mainly walkers - the Markudjik ...

It's not snowing today but we need it to snow more to get the covering at the top. And...i know there are a number of posters saying 'the conditions must be great up top' - they really aren't!

Gutted, last day for us today and only reds (too steep for us) open. Looks like A trip to Milton Keynes when we get back and book somewhere else next new year. ICW!One piece of advice, don't pre order ski passes unless you know you'll use them.

Updated: 4th JanuaryNo new snow overnight. Still cold enough to keep what fell yesterday. The snow cannons have been going all night & are still switched on. Gondola is only open for walkers but the Yastrebetz Chairlift has re-opened. Still only one drag lift on the Rila slopes open.

Apologies for the Twatter style post.....It's a fabulously sunny day here with snow on the trees. Off into Boro for a stroll soon and lunch at BJ's.
