Has any one else picked up on the proposed investment of around 100 million euros, leading up to a bid for the 2014 winter games, oh joy!! (if it happens) but Borovets with 5 star hotels? and three differant areas of accomodation? skiing down to the town of Samakov ? sounds great, makes sense of the rumours over the land at the resort, and the fact that most of the restaurants are going to disappear, whilst a wonderful resort will be created, me thinks that somewhere along the line my ...

All meant to be in place by 2009, i was a bit puzzled byt the fact that a large slice of the action is down to a dutch company, whats the matter the dutch not got enough snow??? oh no silly me, country's flat as a pancake!!! lol

Have a look on the Balkan Hols website, they've got a updated piste map for next year showing the new chairlifts and pistes in there already - including a green run from the top of the gondola all the way down. Let's hope it's up and running in time for XmasJ

Can't see skiing to Samokov .A bit of a flat piste in places? and where will the snow come from unless it builds up lower down after I went in early JanRoger

must be roller skis to samokov and on the last you carry on right to the airportWell it saves the cost of a bus!
